Anarchism Perspective is a synthesist anarchist group based mostly in the region that organizes solidarity and resistance as well as publishing writings at Anarshism.com . For this episode, we speak about the recent uprising in Iran that was met with bloody repression by the regime, with internet blackouts and low-ball estimates of 30,000 dead at government hands from January 8th and 9th 2026 alone. Aryanum speaks about the posturing by monarchists supporting the return and enthroning of Reza Pahlavi II, the son of the last Shah, and the weaponization of Islam by the Mullahs of the regime and other topics.

A Critique of the Mass Mobilization Strategy

From Anarchism Perspective

In the literature of social movements, the mass mobilization strategy refers to a family of strategies that rely on massive gatherings, massive physical presence, and symbolic-material pressure from the population to break down the political order. In this strategy, population accumulation is equated with power accumulation, and it is assumed that the force of repression becomes powerless or hesitant in the face of a very large mass of people. However, these assumptions are now the subject of serious criticism.

The body and the politics of standing in the street

From Anarchism Perspective

States love one thing: to make us invisible. Each of us separately, in separate houses, with separate pains until we imagine that we are “alone,” that we imagine that we are “insufficient,” that we think that “there is no one like me.” This is precisely what the oppressor feeds on: to make each body a case, each case a fear, and each fear a daily obedience.
