Report on activities during the International Week Against Non-Payment of Wages

In the third week of October, we have been highlighting the phenomenon of non-payment of wages for several years. This year, member sections and organizations close to the International Workers' Association (MAP) organized perhaps the most diverse forms of activities to date between October 14-20 - public meetings, pickets, discussion meetings and workshops, but also hanging banners, distributing thematic publications, stickers and posters in the streets, or sharing information about non-payment of wages in the online space.

«THE CITY IN RUINS»

The City destroys our autonomy, our social relations and everything that we and other beings need to live. The City as we know it dictates how we live, how we think and how we see the world. To live in the City means: near-total surveillance, social control, stress, poor air quality and alienation. Any attempt to escape the City soon turns out to be an act of self deception that can only be maintained temporarily at best.

September 10, 1898: the anarchist Luigi Lucheni murders the Austro-Hungarian empress "Sissi" with a file. He does not have enough money for a dagger.

What followed was a violent wave of state attacks against anarchism and, with the Anti-Anarchist Conference in Rome, one of the first attempts to network police repression internationally.

September 9, 2023: an anarchist demonstration through Bad Ischl, a center of monarchy kitsch, commemorates the event with street theater and music.

Dear organizers and participants of ABC-Fest Vienna 2023,

From Ecotopia Biketour

The tour will start preparing its departure in the last week of June in the village of Welten, Austria. We will be then visiting the Balkan Anarchist Bookfair in Ljubliana (Slovenia) and then head towards Romania, passing through Croatia and Serbia. In Romania we will be visiting several projects, ending the tour in Bucharest.

From May 5th to 7th, 2022, anarchist book days will take place in Graz. There you can stock up on subversive literature and have deep discussions.
