His arguments are no less salient in the face of contemporary threats

There are moments, like today in Syria, when we can only rejoice. See the statues of Bashar and his relatives looted, the crowds in the streets, the open prison doors. These moments that remind us that all regimes, including the most authoritarian ones, can fall.

If there is a constant in the revolutions, it is that of freeing prisoners. Symbol of power, of who can decide the freedom of its subjects, prison is one of the nodes on which rests submission to the State and acceptance of social norms.

As anarchists we often forget how important it is to celebrate, even in pain, and remember and pay homage to our comrades. Those who who have gone and those who are still by our side. As anarchists we should remember more often something so important that no power or repression had yet been able to break our networks of affinity and solidarity. It is thanks to these networks that today we can, even if from far, remember Nicole with you.

Around two years ago hundreds of us were trying to block a deportation flight in BER-Airport. It ended up with us watching as families were entering the plane and being forced back to Afghanistan. We were enough people to stop the flight, but we lacked the creativity, the anger and determination. How could we stand still in face of such racist cruelty?

It is based on my experience of using herbs through my 3.5 year prison sentence.
