What is an anarchist assembly?
An assembly is simply a set place and time for anarchists to come together and discuss issues and ideas with other anarchists. The purpose is not to just form a larger organization, or any sort of decision-making body, but to provide an open forum to announce events, present projects, and find other people to organize with outside of the assembly space.
April 30th, 6PM @ Percival Landing, Stcas (so called ‘olympia’)
Come learn about the history of struggle those in power would rather everyone forget – from combative demonstrations and blockades to acts of direct aid and care that pissed off nonprofits.
On the night of March 15th under the cover of darkness and the loving gaze of the moon and stars, a group of anarchists gathered to attack one of the many manifestations of our enemies – police, property, genocide and apartheid states. We discussed various possible targets – settling on the west side offices for REMAX at 211 Kenyon St – talked dispersal routes and other such things, shared party favors, donned the black masks and headed off.
Dear friends, comrades, enemies and those to come.
By now I’m sure many of you have heard about the call for autonomous action to disrupt the defense summit in Seattle on the 12th. I want to urge you all from around the region to come out, and come out hard.
Notes On Expanding the Struggle for the Liberation of the Palestinian People
The western world finds itself in shock at a colonial superpower being caught off guard by a spectacular attack – settlers and western spectators fanatically call for blood because of the implicit threat, we could be next.
The movie and discussion night will be pushed back to 11/19, 6PM @ The Mortuary, Olympia WA
Admin note: both of the following reportbacks from September 7th were submitted anonymously. They both note that no arrests were made at the noise demo. At the time of publication, one day after the noise demo, Olympia Jail Support reports that one person was arrested at their home, remained silent when questioned about the demonstration, and was quickly released.
From Fugitive Distro –
As part of our ongoing project to open more pathways into anarchy in this territory we have decided to make a local Anarchist Directory – a small zine with information on local, public facing projects and initiatives, organization, spaces and resources as well as a selection of knowledge and advice from all of you.
Join us in celebrating Anarchist legacy, the unstoppable spring, and renewed struggle in Olympia...
