In a paper we presented at the first of the public meetings we organized on the left management of the capitalist state, the politics of recuperation and what to do next to satisfy our proletarian social needs in May 2015, we stated that “the boring spectacle of the Greek state’s ‘negotiations’ with its European ‘partners’ and the partial institutional reforms introduced by the Syriza government have functioned like the blue pill of hybernation, a pill that has been swallowed by a large amount of proletarians and the movement against violent internal devaluation.

While there have been some headlines and first person accounts of the Rojava region and the politics therein, there has been little analysis that is explicitly anarchist. That is grounded in the big modern questions about how can international solidarity occur in a space where most anarchists feel powerless (at home) and where ISIS, NATO, Turkey, and the PKK are all propagandizing.
