November 2nd-4th I attended the R.A.T. (Renewing the Anarchist Tradition) conference in Montpelier, VT. It was a definite improvement over previous years. The 4 panels and 1 speaker I heard were all interesting and informative.

Following the uprising in prisons all over Greece during April (http://athens.indymedia.org/features.php3?id=463), due to the poor living conditions which was sparked after the beating of anarchist prisoner Giannis Dimitrakis, disciplinary measures and prison transfers are a daily routine to those prisoners who still dare to speak up.

The Northeastern Federation of Anarchist- Communists recently met for our annual international conference. We met in a wonderful meeting space provided by Encuentro 5 in Boston and spent two days evaluating how best
to continue the movement towards libertarian-communism and workers power.

Linamar – Nestle: Out of Guelph!

In the early morning of November 8th, a group of anarchists went up the water tower closest to the downtown area in Guelph, Ontario. We proceeded to paint both sides of the tower in large legible letters: “LINAMAR – NESTLE GET OUT OF GUELPH,” using the letters spelling GUELPH already found on the sides of the water tower.
