"This journal is intended to dispel a prominent myth within the wider anarchist community: that of the-so called "forest TERF." That is, the idea that anti-civilization anarchists are exclusionary of those who are trans* or gender non-conforming. This, of course, we know to be a falsehood: because we are queer and we stand against civilization. We believe that this myth is, ironically, detrimental to queer lives for a number of reasons.
The MACG thus defends Julian Assange, not because of his politics, which have curdled and are now quite suspect, nor because we consider him innocent of the Swedish accusations. The US ruling class has no objection to his politics, because they are riddled with the sort of people with whom he has been collaborating. And neither do they have any objection to sexual assault – if they did, Donald Trump would not be President. The United States wants to punish him, not for any crimes he might have committed, but for his good deeds. The MACG defend Assange for those same good deeds.
Sometime in the evening of May 12 a group of regular everyday folks tried too, to be brave.
Targetting the RCMP building in Stoney Creek for the second time in recent history these individuals found their way in to a private RCMP car lot and took as many service vehicles out of commission as possible.
From Mexico City, we send our solidarity and love to the comrades who took the streets on May 1st, and to the many who were kidnapped by the state as a result. Repression is the state’s reaction to a gnawing fear: a fear of the power of revolt, of the autonomous organization of the people, of the brewing revolution.

Havana, Cuba – Following tensions around the cancellation of the state sponsored LGBT march and the effort by activists to call for an independently organized one, two anarchist and LGBT activists, Isbel Diaz Torres and partner Jimmy Roque Martinez, are believed to have been detained by Cuban authorities. The detentions are seen as an attempt by the Cuban state to suppress and intimidate outspoken activists whom they see as leaders and vocal activists in the LGBT community in Cuba.

Following the success of last year’s weekend of decentralised anarchist happenings, the Anarchist Festival is back this year, this time aiming to host events scheduled across the country.
The Anarchist Festival is based on the simple idea: groups put on their own programme of anarchist events, concentrating on the dates of the long weekend of 31st May to the 2nd June 2019, and the programme is collated by the festival on their website and social media.

A little different than the usual ranting and raving, taking a look my own writing process and approach. The sadistic compulsion that is writing. Notes to a 20 year old me. Notes for people thinking about getting involved in writing. What I’m looking at when people send submissions for the journal. And a lot of thoughts about how I approach writing, what is and is not important, and a constant reminder of the sad truth: there are no shortcuts.

It wasn’t a very hot day that day. Yet the sun had shone all over the French capital. On 4thApril 2019, a few men landed on the asphalt of some Paris airport. They had come from Libya with a mission: to seek the agreement of that State to unleash a vast military offensive.
