It will be two full days of stands and workshops of anarchist collectives from all around the Netherlands and nearby countries. It’s going to be great!

Ringdijk 8 resquatted

from [Squat!net]

Since some days now we, the Anarcha Feminist Group Amsterdam, have been residing at Ringdijk 8. We have decided to expropriate this building because we think it is disgusting that houses are being kept empty for years while we are in a housing crisis, many people are living in precarity and homelessness has doubled in the last 10 years.

Amsterdam: report back from the 8th of March squatting action

The squats!

from squat.net

Today, in honor of 8th of March, we, Anarcha-Feminist Group Amsterdam, organized squatting action with demonstration. Due to security concerns, it was organized silently, sharing call-out in private channels. Despite this, more that 60 comrades came to support our action! 3 banners (“Woman life freedom”, “Sex work is work”, “destroy patriarchy, fight capitalism, smash the state”) were dropped with flares from the windows of the squatted building. Police were present, but no one was arrested.

Amsterdam Anarcha Feminist Group responds to the Inauguration of Joe Biden

via Enough is enough!

Our movement is international, and we stand in solidarity with comrades in the US and elsewhere fighting against the US war machine and police brutality. At the same time, as Anarcha feminists organising around Amsterdam, we cannot comment on the inauguration of Joe Biden without also speaking about the Dutch government. Just like the US government, the Dutch government is built on slavery, imperialism and exploitation. Recently, the Dutch government resigned over a child care benefit scandal which highlighted the institutional racism of the tax authorities and the Dutch state. Rutte’s resignation, however, is performative only. Even during the pandemic, the Dutch government has not stopped its deportations. The Dutch government is frequently involved in weapon exports and there are renewed attempts to criminalize sex work and to scale down on abortion rights.

Amsterdam: Report back the solidarity protest in solidarity with the persecuted anarchist Abtin Parsa

Amsterdam. Netherlands. On Tuesday the 8th of September at 14:00 we gathered outside the IND office on the Pieter Callandlaan 1 in Amsterdam. We were there with pamphlets, banners and protest signs and some black / red flags. At that moment we were there with more than 10 people. After several minutes two bastard cops arrive on bikes, 1 of them is the neighborhood cop from police station Postjesweg and he immediately makes it clear that the protest was not registered and that it is illegal and that everyone will get a 250 euro fine. We managed to gain some time by stating that we would discuss amongst ourselves what we would do. The cop left but stayed in the area. We used this moment to continue handing out pamphlets and by continuing the protest. It was discussed that the Bastard cop probably meant what he said and that problems would be very likely.
