Black Flag: Anarchist Review Spring 2024 issue now out

The new issue of Black Flag: Anarchist Review is now available:

https://www.blackflag.org.uk

We cover two women who played key parts in British anarchism, albeit in different eras. Charlotte M. Wilson played a key role in the earliest days of the British anarchist movement. She was a co-founder with Kropotkin of Freedom in 1886, which she edited and wrote for.

The “Good War” of Italian Immigrant Anarchists in the US 1914-1920

From Act for freedom now!
(new publication)

In the United States between 1914 and 1920, the greatest armed revolutionary offensive of the 20th century was unleashed against the governmental, judicial, industrial and financial institutions of the most important capitalist country on the planet. These direct actions weren’t the work of the militant factions of a political party or of a more or less radical mass movement, but of a handful of anarchists who had emigrated from Italy at the turn of the century. It was from this context that Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti came, sadly famous their execution on the electric chair in 1927.

Peter Good and the Cunningham Amendment

From Kate Sharpley Library

by Seymour Di Sobedience

If you’ve been to many of the anarchist bookfairs in the UK you’ll probably recognise Peter Good: always a smile, always a bow tie, plus sweets (though I think one year it was home made wine?) for anyone who wanted to chat. Peter is the editor and printer of The Cunningham Amendment (named after forces slang for mixing everything behind the bar in a bucket). The final issue has arrived (vol.21, no.2 ‘Thursday 4th January 2024’) celebrating 50 years of publishing.

Existence # 2/2023

From Anarchistická federace
October 17, 2023

In the autumn issue of the anarchist review Existence we decided to devote ourselves to a seemingly mundane topic – food. However, when we will take a closer look at food, we will find out that it has a huge range of dimensions. It’is surprising that it’s not more reflected in anarchist theory. We take food for granted a bit too much, but for many people in the world, even in the Western world, it isn’t. Therefore, food is viewed from many perspectives throughout the Existence.

“Leitmotiv”, internationalist anarchist paper

Via Act for freedom now!

This newspaper is an expression of solidarity to the comrades under investigation and subjected to precautionary measures in the ”op. Scripta scelera”. [...] Leitmotiv, is the name we wanted to give this single issue of the paper as it traces and follows the same themes and lines as the internationalist anarchist fortnightly Bezmotivny.

RUMOER #7 in english

From RUMOER

As always: angry, enthusiast, wild, worried and looking for interesting reflections and analyses in a world which doesn't show us much good stuff. We wrote about nuclear technology (keep an eye on this, read about it, talk about it, do something), leaving as few as possible DNA traces, attack, so-called Smart Cities and much more.
