Imprisoned Anti-racist Activist Eric King Acquitted of New Charges

From Civil Liberties Defense Center

Denver, CO — On March 18th, a jury acquitted anti-racist and anti-fascist political prisoner Eric King on the count of “assaulting” a federal officer. CLDC is overjoyed at the return of a not guilty verdict from the jury. After hearing hours of compelling testimony from King himself, the jurors were rightly convinced of his constitutionally protected rights to defend himself against threat of death or bodily injury, even when that threat came from a corrections officer at the Bureau of Prisons.

An overview of repressions against anarchists and antifascists in Belarus in 2021

From Anarchist Black Cross Belarus

ABC-Belarus countered unprecedented quantity of repressions in 2021. We cannot say that it was unexpected. We expected exactly this after 2020 protests. But such predictability doesnʼt make the burden of anti-repression activism easier.

Kansk teenage anarchists will be sentenced February 10th

Support action for Kansk teenagers in Russia

The sentence in the case of the Kansk teenagers will be given on Thursday, the 10th of February 2022 at 3PM in Krasnoyarsk time (11 AM Moscow time, 8 AM GMT). Three anarchists from the Krasnoyarsk region are accused of “studying terrorism” and storing explosives. Nikita Uvarov, Denis Mikhayuulenko and Bogdan Andreev were arrested in the summer of 2020 for spreading leaflets that criticised the state, and for supporting political prisoners. At that time they were 14 years old.

FREEDOM FOR CLAUDIO LAVAZZA!

FREEDOM FOR CLAUDIO LAVAZZA!

From anarquia.info

From January 7, 2022 we call for solidarity with the anarchist comrade Claudio Lavazza. Kidnapped first by the Spanish state and then by the French state, he has already spent 25 years in prison and although he should have been free since last December 11, the prosecutor of Mont de Marsan who follows his case, emissary of the state’s revenge, continues to keep him behind bars.

Position of ABC-Belarus on the situation with Dzmitry Dubovski

From Anarchist Black Cross Belarus

The day after the detention of the group of anarcho-partisans the propaganda trash cans posted a video in which Dzmitry Dubovski admits his guilt in attacking the regime and testifies against other members of the group. At the time, the relatively hasty publication of the news by the Lukashists, the serious accusations of terrorism, and Dubovski’s own lengthy involvement in the anarchist movement led us to question the truthfulness of the story about the anarchist who had begun cooperating with the investigation.

– regarding information about torture of anarcho-partisans

Today the sister of anarchist Dmitry Dubovsky published a short story after visiting the activist in the prison. The story is about the torture of the partizans in the first days after the detention: the pigs cut the skin off Igor Olynevich’s feet, Dubovsky was strangled with a plastic bag and hung up in a so called “swallow”. Previously, it was already reported that Sergei Romanov cut open his veins because of beatings by border guards.

Sasha Kozlyanko – soul and conscience of Brest anarchism

Sasha Kozlyanko – soul and conscience of Brest anarchism

From pramen.io

I met Alexander Kozlyanko in the summer of 2002, long before anarchism started to show its grin in Belarus. At that time Brest guys had their own group of friends in Kavala (well known residential area of Brest – Kovalyovka), to which I “joined”, being a frequent visitor in this nice western Belarusian city. I can say with confidence that that group, and Sasha in particular, were at the origins of Brest anarchism. While most of the guys, with whom we drank beer together, discussed music and books, played soccer, simply dissolved in the everyday life of Belarus, Sanya, overcoming subculture, remained in the movement. And he did not just stay in Belarussian anarchism, but, it seems to me, by undergoing a rapid evolution, became its important component.

A Convicted Anarchist Speaks Truth to Injustice

From Mongoose Distro – by Dan Baker

I cannot remain silent in the face of corrupt authority and recent events. My friends would laugh and ask when I have ever remained silent. I tried to tone it down before my trial and sentencing, but I told my defense committee that I even if I “bent my knee”, as they say in Game of Thrones, and kissed the ring and licked the boot, even if I degraded myself this way, the judge would try to throw the book at me. I have been falsely charged with “Extortion – transmitting an interstate threat to kidnap or injure a person” because I posted flyers encouraging my community to defend itself from a fascist coup, that failed, on January 6th 2021, to overthrow a democratic election’s results. In the same year Kyle Rittenhhouse was acquitted after he traveled across state lines with an assault rifle and killed several protesters. This is why the United States is the laughing stock of the world. It makes me sick. For the past year I have been bounced around the country between 4 prisons, detained illegally pre-trial and been subjected to conditions and torture worse than a zoo, all because I am an anarchist. For my love of freedom, I am a political prisoner.

Online Speech and Community Defense

On January 15th, 2021, two men received a knock on the door of their Tallahassee apartment from someone claiming to be delivering a Postmate parcel. The two hadn’t ordered anything and raised suspicion that someone was trying to break in and rob their home so they said they didn’t order anything and refused to open the door. Moments later, their door crashed open and a percussive grenade ignited as FBI swarmed in with guns drawn, yelling.
