As a response to the popularity of the anarcho-pessimism pieces by Laurence Labadie previously recorded on Immediatism, new readings are now available of a variety of cosmic pessimism pieces by various authors. Of particular interest to anarchist animists would be After Life by Eugene Thacker. Fans of Cosmic Pessimism will appreciate Francois Laruelle's On the Black Universe and Nicola Masciandaro's Paradisical Pessimism. Anti-natalists will like Peter Wessel Zapffe's The Last Messiah. For your convenience, the Laurence Labadie pieces are also linked below.
The essay "Anarcho-Pessimism: The Lost Writings of Laurence Labadie," by Chord, has been read on Immediatism podcast over two episodes, 688 and 689. In addition to having introduced each section of the Ardent Press/Little Black Cart book "Anarcho-Pessimism: the Collected Writings of Laurence Labadie," Chord wrote this extensive introduction essay describing Labadie's upbringing, exposure to texts in his father's collection, relation with his father, abandoned attempts at college and career, and eventual interest in anarchism.
