Ali Touati (1953 - 2025)

From CIRA of Marseille
February 2026

Ali dropped out of high school after his sophomore year. Close to libertarian ideas, he became involved at a very young age in the anarchist group in Pré-Saint-Gervais, where he met Georges Darbois, May Picqueray, José Morato, and Montsé Turtos. In the mid-1970s, he helped support the bookstore Le Jargon Libre, founded by Helyette Bess and Gilbert Roth on Rue de la Reine-Blanche in the 13th arrondissement. He was also part of the anarchist magazine Commune libre.

Two cranes sabotaged at Damen Oranjewerf, Amsterdam

From Indymedia Netherlands

Will we complain online about the latest outrage or join those marching in circles begging the politicians for crumbs; to do something, anything, other than funding these merchants of death? Or will we take matters into our own hands?... On the first day of christmas some anarchists chose to do the latter. Breaking into the floating dock of the Oranjewerf in Amsterdam, owned by Damen, and sabotaging two cranes by smashing the computer consoles and joysticks.

For a compagno who is no longer with us: Rocco Morra

From Umanità Nova
November 19, 2024

Rocco Morra is no longer with us, he went elsewhere, he left us at the age of 70, on the night between October 4th and 5th.

Writing about him means for me recounting the years of my political education, the end of the 70s and the beginning of the fateful 80s.

I would prefer revolutionary internationalism

A response to Wayne Price's ‘Should Anarchists Defend Ukraine? A Response to Bill Beech’ in Black Flag, Autumn 2024, Vol4.

To those who read the pages of Black Flag, it will be clear from Wayne Price’s response to my essay ‘War on Anarchism’, that his arrogance can only be matched by his ignorance. It is hard to debate someone who is fully committed to remaining ignorant and who persistently avoids any discussion of specifics, while retreating into abstract slogans and idealistic positions. In response to the many facts I present and the 48 footnotes, Wayne Price offers a stale reference to Bakunin, an oblique reference about Ukrainian anti-semitism (to quarrel with an argument I didn’t make), and a reference TO HIMSELF, Wayne Price.

ACTION WEEK / PRAGUE / 20 – 26 MAY 2024 /

From 20 to 26 May 2024, Prague will host the Action Week, whose motto is:
“Together against capitalist wars and capitalist peace.”

Each weekday during this week will see a different event. There will be presentations, discussions, fundraisers, protests and various types of direct action. Then the end of the week will be devoted to a bookfair and an internationalist conference, where we will try to shift from theoretical matters towards the coordination of concrete anti-war activities.
