Decolonial, Abolitionist Mutual Aid - An Interview with 815 Mutual Aid Network

We’re not an explicitly anarchist project although we have anarchist members. We try to have some anarchistic values such as horizontal organizing, decentralization and anti-oppressive politics. Our politics are located in decolonial and black liberation frameworks which is different from much of the anarchist movement which comes from European anarchism.

Greece: New Democracy and Pandemic Opportunism

From CrimethInc.

The Lockdown Resumes

The New Democracy administration continues to exploit the pandemic to take action against immigrants and anarchists, implementing an updated form of strategies that have not been seen since the Junta of the late 1960s and early ’70s. Our movement against the state and capital is more indispensable than ever, as the Greek state rushes to modernize the machinery via which it represses political opponents under the guise of law, order, and anti-virus mandates.

Hapax 13 "Pandemic" has been published

Most of the included texts were prepared half a year ago, and for various reasons they’re being published late. However (sadly) what’s presented here hasn’t aged in the least. “What the Virus Said,” which got a lot of responses on this blog, Bifo, Vaneigem, and others are as fresh as ever, and paired with “Two texts regarding contact tracing applications,” Lee Jingkyoung’s submission from South Korea, they should convey a new dimension of politics.

“Destruam et ædificabo”: The anarchist proposal

“Destruam et ædificabo”: The anarchist proposal

From autonmies dot org via acracia.org (24/10/2020) …

The Latin expression is a biblical quotation that Pierre-Joseph Proudhon put on the cover of his fundamental work, The System of Economic Contradictions, or The Philosophy of Poverty (1846), and it reflects very well the dual approach that anarchism has given to the struggle against domination and oppression. On the one hand, the clear understanding that key aspects of the dominant system cannot be recovered, but rather have to be radically confronted. It is the radicalism that is also shown in successive confrontational tactics at different times in anarchism’s history, in which destruam has been used in a literal sense, with a propaganda of the deed that smelled more of gunpowder and death than of the construction of a new world. It is the one that is still present in slogans that we can hear in a demonstration, such as “A fired worker, a hung employer”. In this case, it has more of an innocuous bravado than a serious threat, but in other cases it is clear that violent opposition is needed at a certain moment, a position that the Black Bloc consistently picks up, or that Peter Gelderloos supports in his essay against of non-violence as a priority strategy. Domination and oppression will not fall without a serious “push” to bring them down.

With the urge to dialogue about Anarchy in our days, from ContraInfo (C.I.), blog we were self-motivated to conduct an interview with comrade Gustavo Rodríguez (G.R.), motivated by the recent international call for solidarity with the anarchists who continue to fight against punitive society behind prison bars, breaking the imposed normality.
