The following proposal was distributed via encrypted carrier pigeon originating from Pittsburgh, probably. We are reprinting it here because we feel that its recommendations apply to other contexts in the US and beyond, and can inspire further discussion about our shared distribution practices in order to establish a solid foundation for both local and coordinated distro moving forward.
A COLLABORATIVE DRAFT STATEMENT REGARDING THE RELEVANCE OF THE PRAIRIELAND CONVICTION TO PRINTERS AND ZINE DISTRIBUTORS (posted without editing and without talking to anyone who might know more about the case than we do. We would rather open the dialogue & polish in the comments)
If you haven't been following the Prairieland "antifa terrorist enterprise" case, it ended pretty fucking bad. Comrades were convicted on federal felony charges based on activities such as owning a printer and moving a box of zines into a car.
From Upstate Anarchist Book Fair
Join us for the first annual Upstate Anarchist Book Fair held on May 4-5, 2024 at the PM Press Warehouse in Binghamton, NY(21 Emma Street, Binghamton, NY 13905). In celebration of International Workers’ Day, the two-day fair will feature book/zine vendors, a warehouse sale, community organizations, two full days of panels, live music from the loading dock, and much more. All are welcome to join us in creating community, sharing skills and passions, and debating the best way to overthrow the (patriarchal, racist, cis het) capitalist system.
From takku dot net, Latvia
We are going to continue the tradition of Anarchist bookfairs which have been held in Tallinn, Stockholm and London. We invite all the Anarchist and Antiauthoritarian publishers to present and sell their books, magazines, newspapers, cartoons, etc and everybody interseted to spend the weekend with us, take part in discussions and seminars. The event is open to everybody and no prior registration is required. The details of the programme will come later.
From Open Distro
Open Distro is a full-service stop (ok, not really; we're not selling anything) for helping you with your new or on-going anarchist publishing project.

We are several people who set up a participatory anarchist public library in the center of Brussels because we thought it was important. It’s called La B.O.U.M. , and after many months of preparation, it’s the day of the inauguration : we are happy to celebrate, and to finally start borrowing!
