A federal judge on Thursday ordered the release of a Foresthill man who was convicted of being an ecoterrorist seven years ago, following an extraordinary hearing in which the U.S. government conceded that thousands of pages of documents that should have been turned over to the defense had secretly remained locked in a Sacramento FBI office for years.
