What follows is an edited version of a brochure written in French and translated into several languages. The brochure is available here.  To aid readability in web format I have changed the structure somewhat but the words and ideas remain the same.

France : Letter from Anarchist Prisoner Embers, Imprisoned Since May Day in Paris

From Act For Freedom!

After being arrested in Paris on the eve of May 1 and spending three months in detention, orchestrated by the hunting grounds, the prosecutor who accuses, the judge who questions and the press that condemns, the possibility of my release has been canceled by the prosecutor because he thinks there is a risk of recidivism and because of my determination not to give up. They expect me to say that I accept that violence belongs to them, to condemn before their pressure the actions of comrades and the riots. They ask me about what I have in my head, and if I refuse to answer it is due to what lives in my heart.

Emma Goldman's Adventures in France

Laure Batier speaks with Charles Reeve

From The Brooklyn Rail

The first complete French translation of Emma Goldman’s Living My Life (1931) was published in November 2018 by the Paris radical publisher L’échappée as Vivre ma vie; une anarchiste au temps des révolutions: the translators are Laure Batier and Jacqueline Reuss. The printing of 3,000 was sold out in a month, and a second edition continues to find a good response.

Marseille: Two days of Anarchist book fair

From Act for Freedom!, A two days of Anarchist book fair will take place in Marseille between the 21st and 22nd of September 2019France, Marseille

Still here. Throwing ourselves into the unbridled adventure of anarchist practice, in the cyclone of free ideas and unregulated action, in a game without prizes, of life without mediations.

Still here. Away from and against ideologies promoting political subjects, against the fogged-up glasses of citizenism, against the imposition of a life suffocated by security, which has transformed existence into habit and obedience.

Update on Anarchist Prisoner Vincenzo Vecchi

From Anarchists Worldwide, France / Italy

Following the arrest of the anarchist Vincenzo Vecchi, which took place in France on August 8, 2019, thanks to the joint work of the Italian and French police, this morning (August 14) at 11.00 am, at the Court of Appeal of Rennes, a hearing was held concerning his extradition to Italy. According to the limited information that has been revealed so far, the judges decided during the hearing to make no decisions about the extradition, due to a lack of relevant information from the Italian authorities. A further hearing has been set for August 23rd. So until then he would presumably remain imprisoned at Rennes prison.

Anarchist Vincenzo Vecchi arrested, convicted for the G8 in Genoa in 2001

From Act for Freedom!, France

Anarchist Vincenzo Vecchi was arrested on Thursday, August 8, 2019 in France. The arrest was carried out by the French police and (as reported by the regime media) was made possible by the contribution of the agents of the “Service for the fight against extremism and internal terrorism” and of the Antiterrorism section of the DIGOS of Milan, which through “a close investigative connection” with the French police were able to identify the comrade. Against him two European arrest warrants had been issued by the prosecutors of Milan and Genoa.

They Leaned On Each Other In Ecstasy & The Devil Rode A Bicycle

From The Transmetropolitan Review

Only available IRL in Seattle for the past few years, we’re pleased to now make them available for reproduction and distribution, especially with the recent interest in zines and non-digital mediums.

Both zines are the history of several French anarchists who were young when the Paris Commune was crushed and spent the next decades reviving the lost rebellion of their elders.

Alternative Libertaire AL #296 - Editorial

from A-Infos

Editorial: Merge to excel
The process initiated between Libertarian Alternative and the Coordination of Anarchist Groups has therefore come to an end. ---- The Libertarian Communist Union was born under the acclamations of the Allier congress. It's a political success and a method. ---- Wanting to avoid stagnation in endless, purposeless discussions, as well as a hasty and ill-controlled merger, AL and CGA co-elaborated a " road map " setting out each stage of discussion, verification, validation, etc. . ---- The general philosophy was: no device negotiations, no deal behind the scenes. Everything had to be put on the table and approved collectively. Eighteen months had been considered sufficient to go around the question, imagine what could be this " merger-overtaking " and culminate in the joint congress of June 2019 which was to pronounce the final decision.

France: Burning Equipment and Reflections Against Those Who Make Use of It

[This text from Indymedia Nantes deals with two attacks near Saint-Étienne, a small city near Lyon. The first targeted BTP Eurovia and the second the Delmonico quarry. Links with pictures and mainstream press articles below.

[Although I don't agree that workers are as responsible for the harm their work causes as the bosses and owners, or that all work is as disgusting as being a prison guard, this text still feels like a worthwhile contribution to a conversation about the limitations of a class-struggle centric analysis. Because this text is right on that if those with access to the means of production won't destroy them, the rest of us are going to have to.]

Statement from Fédération Anarchiste (French-speaking Anarchist Federation)

From London Anarchist Federation

Re: Attack at Publico, bookshop of the Anarchist Federation in Paris

An anarchist comrade was violently attacked with a knife the afternoon of 2nd May 2019 in the FA bookshop Publico (Paris).

There is nothing to suggest the attack was targetting him in particular, but rather the organisation he represents and to which he belongs : the Fédération Anarchiste.
