Against Antisemitism: a review of Jewish Anarchist Voices

My copy of Jewish Anarchist Voices arrived at my door the day after the Golders Green antisemitic attack; an incident that has followed from several others across the UK. It is a short pocket book containing 3 “accounts”, 2 anonymously published pieces and Fredy Perlman’s well known piece Anti-Semitism and the Beirut Pogrom, which I drew from in my first Against Antisemitism essay.

I revived Alpine Anarchist Productions (AAP) for the briefest of moments to launch the pamphlet Varieties of Jewish Anarchism: A Brief Introduction by Anthony T. Fiscella. (You’ll find a ready-to-print zine layout here.) I did this because Anthony’s pamphlet Varieties of Islamic Anarchism: A Brief Introduction, which AAP launched seven years ago, was one of the most popular pamphlets we ever helped distribute.

Circle Aleph call for submissions

Essays, discussions, book reviews, stories, poetry, lashon hara, art, Talmud hot takes, parshah commentary history, research, report backs, or anything else tangentially related to Judaism and radical politics. This first issue of a seasonal magazine aims at rekindling the Jewish Anarchist literary tradition;fostering debates and discussions; and spreading counter information across every boundary. Submissions due August 1st(ish) for initial release on Rosh Hashanah.
