It’s been two weeks since Portland erupted over the news as THE city that opposes trump and his administration. The riot caused approximately one million dollars in damage, as well as costing the city’s police department $600,000. Portland has mellowed recently in preparation for the inevitable flag-burning and hell-raising of inauguration day. Currently several groups have risen to not only prepare for the impending fascist creep, but the harsh repression from the government that is in full force.

Several totally unrelated and ideologically distinct social groups randomly coincided in and around New Orleans' Couturie Forest yesterday afternoon and last night in what accidentally amounted to a multi-pronged coordinated resistance to dirty billionaires using over $25 million of FEMA recovery money to destroy 250 acres of public greenspace, killing ancient live oaks and cypress to make the forest into an elite PGA golf course closed to anyone who can't pay $80 a day "greens fees."

Group Raising Funds to Repair Windows of Small Businesses in East Bay

ENDING RACISM IS A LOT MORE IMPORTANT THAN A COUPLE WINDOWS, but a group of us wants to make sure that local, small, and cooperative businesses receive the community financial support they need so the window breaking doesn't cause them undue hardship.

Last night, as people in the Eat Bay rose up in protest of the executions of people of color by police, many windows were smashed. Most of those windows belonged to big corproate banks and franchises. But in the fray, a couple small businesses had their windows crunched.

These locally-owned businesses included:
