Anarchist newspaper “Blessed Is The Flame” #2

From Blessed is the Flame Newspaper

Original title: The 2nd issue of the anarchist newspaper “Blessed Is The Flame” has been translated in English + call for international collaboration and translation in more languages

The second issue of the insurrectionary / nihilist anarchist newspaper “Blessed Is The Flame”, originally published in 8 July 2024 in Greek, has now been translated in English. By doing so, we hold the ambition that this newspaper can become an international effort, bringing together all the direct action reports, statements and texts of comrades, and news about the struggles of anarchist prisoners that are scattered across the world, divided by language and communication barriers.

Anarchism and Film: New Perspectives

From Anarchist Developments in Cultural Studies (ADCS)

Vol. 2024 No. 1 (2024): Anarchism and Film: New Perspectives

This special edition of Anarchist Developments in Cultural Studies takes on an ambitious endeavour: to showcase new contributions to the field of Film Studies. Until recently there has been a dearth of anarchist scholarship concerned with cinema, a situation attributable, in part, to anarchism’s historic marginalization in academia, but the situation is rapidly changing, thanks to the scholarship of Richard Porton, Susan White, and Nathan Jun, to name a few. Or Just Say Nothing

A Response to CrimethInc.'s Initial Statement on Aaron Bushnell

Aaron Bushnell, before self-immolating in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C., sent notice to a few radical platforms including CrimethInc. (henceforth: the Outlet) informing them of his decision to commit "an extreme act of protest" against the ongoing genocide in Gaza. He asked simply that they preserve the footage of his action and report on it. Most complied, but in the face of such a humble request, the Outlet was confused: "All afternoon, while other journalists were breaking the news, we discussed how we should speak about this. Some subjects are too complex to address in a hasty social media post." It's telling that they self-identify as journalists.

Three years paradox-a.de – Some thoughts

submitted anonymously

I have been running the blog project paradox-a.de for three years now. Originally I started the blog to have a place to publish my texts and to give a contact possibility at my lectures. In the meantime, I have gained a manageable readership and have been able to somewhat influence the German-language debate on anarchist theory.
