Another anarchist died on the frontline of Ukraine

From Indymedia Netherlands

Yesterday, sister Sati passed away. She died almost instantly - before my eyes. I'm sorry that I personally couldn't do anything for you. It was an extremely difficult situation - a UAV explosion, two critically injured people, and the understanding that you need to help someone who still has a chance... Ten minutes before your death, you gave me a tangerine. We ate it for two, and I called you a wonderful girl - because that's what you were. Thank you for everything.

In memoriam: Leslie Fish

From Gary McGath

Leslie Fish, one of the best-known members of the filk music community, has died. She was talented, opinionated, outgoing, and just weird (in the best sense of the word). I didn’t know her well, but I’d seen, heard, and talked with her on many occasions. Other people who knew her better will write about her, but I should give my perspective here.

Obituary: Samuel Paradiso

From Bristol Radical History Group

Samuel Paradiso was brought up in the Fishponds area of east Bristol. His love of his ‘manor’ played a large part in his life, ranging from his legendary ‘border patrols’, checking no one from BS5 had sneaked into BS16, to the local history in his website ‘Boy from Fishponds’. He knew Fishponds inside out and revelled in directing me around using secret short cuts, telling me stories of its hidden heroes and showing me the concealed ‘Lido’ that once had a bar on stilts, or so they say.

Farewell to our Ignatius

From Athens Indymedia

After many months (since June) in a coma at the Red Cross hospital, Ignatius opened his eyes for the first time a few days ago during a visit from his companions, apparently to say goodbye to us, because today, Sunday, November 2, 2025, he passed away. Repeated strokes and difficult cranial surgeries, despite the efforts of the medical and nursing staff, led to his irreversible end. Ignatios was an anarchist comrade known throughout the movement for his multifaceted participation in all its actions and resistance...

For Peter Watkins (1935-2025)

From Autonomies

Peter Watkins’ recent death (30/10/2025) was the occasion to recall how much his films conveyed a radical sense of history, and in their very “artificiality”, a portrait of anarchic creativity. Our debt to Watkins is considerable and we remember him here – as we have done in the past – with an essay by the historian David Armitage and a selection of his films and interviews.
