The Anarchist Mission in the Modern World

via Gatorna

These are the points of mobilization that do not allow us to give up and just accept. That is why we are ready to make efforts, to take risks so that to create a new society. Organized revolutionary struggle is the path along which we will achieve the goal outlined in this text. Victory is possible, and therefore we must win.

is this is what anarchy after 30 looks like?

From Organise Magazine

reflections on 1986 and now

It’s 35 years since the AF was first formed as the Anarchist Communist Federation in 1986. We’ve published retrospectives on several occasions before in the 10, 20, 25 and 30 year specials of Organise! This time we look back at what was happening in and around 1986 and its relationship to the emergence of the new anarchist organisations.

The current state of organizing within leftist spaces is not federated. Many have tried to federate it, of particular note are the platformists who try to focus intensely on federation. However, to date organizing with the left is not organized. Therefore, a new approach must be taken up to combat the lack of federation and general disorganization found within leftist circles. Federationism provides this level of focus and organization necessary.

An Anarchist Approach to Policy

currently on the floor, a motion to adjourn everything!

From cyberdandy.org by Cyber Dandy, February 19, 2021

To people who don’t know much about anarchism, it seems like a completely unrealistic worldview. To those people who know a little bit about anarchism, it is obvious that anarchism has a messaging problem. Anarchists have attempted to solve this problem in a variety of ways.

De/centralization, Discretion, and the Anarchist Movement

De/centralizx this!

From C4SS by M Black | July 27th, 2020

Anarchists have long made decentralization a core demand for the structure of our organizations and have placed tremendous faith in the decentralization of our organizations as a means by which to prevent the generation of hierarchies and abuses of power, among other issues. However, this faith is based on very little, and anarchists can stand to benefit by rejecting it as an all-or-nothing principle alongside the concomitant Manichean dichotomy between decentralization, representing the Good, and centralization, representing the Bad. It is, in fact, imperative that we do if we aim to build a movement capable of self-defense and growth in the face of growing authoritarian power.

On the Formation of a New Anarchist Grouping, Obsidian

from anarchists worldwide

Those who seek saviors are doomed to servitude and those who seek glory are obsessed with what they cannot control. Anarchy is the negation of authority and obedience. It is often the obedient that carry the sword, whether by master or mob. We understand that society reinforces these constructs wherever it may seep in. Our enemy is overt, the state and its henchman. Our enemy is covert, ideas brought forth wearing a mask of solidarity, carrying the knife of the state.

Every act taken by the state is in service of itself, and all its capital is paid for in blood. We reject law in its entirety, we battle the conservative notions of safety, security and self. We oppose all modern day capitalism’s tentacles and recognise its ever changing nature. We hold onto and strike out with anarchist ideals in order to feel human and free.

Sex work: A guide for activism

From Freedom New UK

Anarchists through history have often been at the margins of society, associated with criminality and other unacceptable categories. So, it should be no surprise to know some anarchists are also sex workers, or have been close to sex workers. We fought Mussolini and Franco, we continue fighting today.

Standing at the Crossroads

From Anarchist Communist Group

“The ACF remains a comparatively small organisation. Its desire to create or be the component of a large revolutionary organisation and movement has failed to happen. Many are put off joining a group where a strong commitment and a lot of determination are required. Many libertarian revolutionaries are as yet unconvinced of the need to create a specific libertarian communist organisation.

Anarchy Bang: Episode Thirteen - Structure and topics

From Anarchy Bang

This week we are going to discuss structure in conversations, presentations, and in how anarchists present information. This week's discussion is inspired by Waldemar and their comment on Episode 12. Have our discussions up till now been too abstract and removed from daily life? Do conversations benefit or suffer for structure? If our goal is to grow the conversation how have we done so far? What could we do to improve?
