Write an anarchist prisoner today!

From Anarquía

Two weeks after the kidnapping of my compañerxs and I, the reason that makes me write this statement today is to hold the investigation police responsible for the death of my cat companion Tony, who on the day of the raid on my home was cowardly beaten with a kick in his stomach, which left him with internal sequelae.

How the Cops Investigate

In police custody in March the cops mentioned the anarchist site Attaque to me. [...] I had just deduced that they put me in jail for something that never existed because I’m an anarchist. I did manage to contact a friend to warn him that the cops were talking to me in this way.

After the court session Pyotr was brought to the police station, where he was tortured with electricity. He was demanded to tell everything he knew about his brother’s whereabouts.

We Don't Feel Shame or Remorse for Our Cause

NO REGERTS!

From Anarquía, English translation by Anarchist News

The Secretary of National Defense (Sedena) has identified most of the anarchist, dissident, feminist, activist groups…. We want to express that while it's true that this is nothing new in the history of anarchism, and that it doesn't surprise us that it's carried out by the current [leftist] regime, we want to emphasize the responsibility of the State for what may happen to our comrades. Including ourselves.

Lessons from the 2020 Uprising

yet to be seen

This article provides a brief overview of some criminal cases from the Portland 2020 uprising, and discusses some lessons that can be learned from them. We try to identify and name snitches, including informants and journalists whose work has helped the state, and describe the tactics used by law enforcement, especially undercover agents. This article is obviously incomplete, and there is far more evidence, cases and stories than we could possibly find ourselves and include here.

With blood in his eyes

Saturday, July 9, the court of Treviso has sentenced our friend and comrade John to 28 years in prison (plus 3 years of probation, 30,000 euros in compensation to the Lega and 17,000 euros in court costs), for holding him responsible for the attack against the Lega headquarters in Treviso that occurred in August 2018.

Update from the march against the release of Alexis Grigoropoulos' murderer

I get it, but "march against the release" does not have a nice ring to it for anarchists. FTP, FTTP.

On Tuesday 5 July a rally was called against the release of Korkoneas. The meeting was called at 20.00 at the intersection of Messolongiou and Tzavella. The response of the people was quite large, and it was decided to hold a march through the streets of Exarchia. The pulse was strong from start to finish, and slogans were constantly shouted, with the aim of demonstrating that “justice” is clearly class-based: On the one hand, it releases the cop-killer of Alexandros, by decision of the Lamia Court of Appeal, the same court of appeal that on the other hand deprives the anarchist hunger striker from 23/5, Giannis Michailidis, of his freedom.

An update and some considerations on Operation Sibilla & the 41 bis against Alfredo Cospito

Write an anarchist prisoner today!

A hearing on the precautionary measures ordered for the repressive Sibilla operation was held at the Court of Cassation in Rome on June 22. The hearing stemmed from an appeal by prosecutor Manuela Comodi against the order of the Perugia review court, which on Dec. 16 had resulted in the annulment of the precautionary measures taken on Nov. 11 in the repressive operation. The Court of Cassation, in spite of the opinion of the Attorney General’s Office (which had called for the rejection of the Perugia prosecutor’s appeal), granted PM Comodi’s request, annulling the order of the review court and ordering a new hearing. The precautionary measures are not effective, and a new review hearing will be ordered for the coming months at the Perugia court.

You’ll find us in our place as we can’t stay in yours.

At dawn on 16th March 2022 two anarchists were arrested in Rome by the DIGOS police and the ROS carabinieri on orders of the Power of Attorney of Genoa and Public Prosecutor Federico Manotti. The charge is fabrication and possession of explosive material (article 1 and 2, bill 895/67) with the intent to attack public safety (article 435 of the penal code), all this with purposes of terrorism and subversion of the democratic order (article 270 bis 1) in collusion with other persons yet to be identified. [...] This seems to be more like a strategy to exaggerate the repressive operation, given that there is little or nothing that concretely links these episodes to the reason for the arrest for possession of explosive material.

Anarchist comrade Nikos Romanos denounces deep parastate with far-right tendencies

Our anarchist comrade Nikos Romanos releases a text denouncing the parastate and fascist actions of the Greek cops inflicted upon him, his family, friends and comrades. The comrade has been under surveillance on and off since his release three years ago by the fascist scum of the Anti-Terrorist Unit, which has now hit a new level since the beginning of the hunger strike by his friend and anarchist comrade Giannis Michailidis, who has been subject to further imprisonment despite serving the required amount of time that would trigger his release.
