Solidarity with Køpiplatz! Køpi Bleibt!

We in Anarchist-Communists Meanjin voice our solidarity with Køpiplatz.

from Anarchist-Communists Meanjin

Meanjin (Brisbane) Australia: Solidarity with Køpiplatz! Køpi Bleibt!

We in Anarchist-Communists Meanjin voice our solidarity with Køpiplatz. Like Berlin, Meanjin is also subject to soaring rent prices and gentrification. Districts once overflowing with creative energy have given way to canyons of empty streets polluted with American trash food joints and corporate bars. As we have previously noted, “as long as the working class lacks access to and communal control of their own sustainable housing the crisis will remain, sometimes at a low point and at other times surging upwards. As long as a landlord class remains, homelessness will continue, renters will be exploited and housing will remain precarious.

Olympia: Reflections from the Frog House Squat & MSM article

From Puget Sound Anarchists

What follows is the reflections of one individual Frog House Defender.

Frog House has fallen and is in the hands of the enemy, but the struggle is far from over. We hope our failure will be the stepping stone to our and others future success.

Neither with prisons, nor with laws...

Neither with prisons, nor with laws, fascism can be smashed only in the streets

From Anarchist Political Organisation-Federation of Collectives, Greece

On September 18th, 2013 the paramilitary squad of golden dawn proceeds to a murderous attack in Keratsini (Athens), resulting to the assassination of the antifascist Pavlos Fyssas, after being stabbed to the heart by the member of golden dawn, G. Roupakias. This was another one of the numerous murderous attacks the paramilitary gang of golden dawn made against anarchists, leftists, syndicalists, refugees and migrants, squats and self-organized and occupied spaces. Following the State’s policies and the medias dictations and protecting the Capital’s interests, the fascists always strike against the most violently exploited parts of society, against the revolutionary movements that are explicitly targeted by State’s repression.

Police raids in #Athens and #Berlin: And again they create a criminal organization

Berlin. Athens. September 16. 2020. The searches today, which included our anarchist library, are nothing new. But this time the authorities are stepping up their efforts. Five people are affected, who are accused of having founded a special, conspiratorial and criminal association or of being members of it. For this reason, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office is investigating under paragraph 129 and the BKA visited the people concerned at home, sometimes with pulled guns.

HANDS OFF THE SQUATS

From Act for Freedom Now!

Berlin, Thessaloniki : HANDS OFF THE SQUATS-Solidarity with Terra Incognita

Wherever in the world, an attack on our structures will not remain silent. Squats for us are the biggest parts of our struggle against gentrification, tourism, which serves the profit of capitalism and the “clearing” of our neighborhoods. Places which are against the blackmail of the bosses and the repression of the cops, the implementation of self-organization, places of liberation from the tyranny of the state, capital and patriarchy. An important tool for the anarchist movement in order to get collectively organized and fight for a society based on equality, solidarity and freedom.

On the closure of Kadterschmiede and our handling of open spaces

From squat!net Berlin, Germany, published May 8th, 2020

Wednesday, March 25th - Our lawyer told us that he should pass on a telephone threat from the police to us. The content of the threat was that the cops would enter Rigaer94 if Kadterschmiede would not close officially. After a due to timepressure admittedly short discussion, we then announced on twitter and our website that we would not open that day.

Koukaki Fell Heavy on Them

from anarchists worldwide

Koukaki fell heavy on them

Since 2017, the Koukaki Squat Community (Matrozou 45, Panaitoliou 21, Arvali 3) set up adifferent competitive example of communal life in the center of Athens. Through horizontal procedures, collective work and persistence, it set up open and social projects of communal housing, public bath and laundry, clothes sharing, spaces for public events and a multilingual library. Operating in an area which has been transforming from residential neighborhood to first-class tourist resort, the Koukaki Squat Community raised an embankment against the repressive and economic policies of the state and the bosses, against fascism, racism, and patriarchy. A living hearth of resistance, it also actively supported and connected with other struggles, political projects and public assemblies [1].

In solidarity with the okupied social centres/squats of Athens

From Autonomies

In a series of police operations in Athens, over the last ten days, four okupied social centres were cleared, including two that provided autonomous, self-managed housing for migrants.

The objective is clear: to discipline rebellious segments of the population (most notably, anarchists), or those who might think of rebelling, to place under State administration and policed surveillance, migrants-refugees, under a politics of social division and colonisation (and thereby trying to bring to end one of the richest experiences of radical “no-border politics” in recent memory), and to pacify the urban space for “investment and renewal”
