Preliminary hearing set for Sibilla operation (Perugia, Italy, October 10, 2024)

The preliminary hearing in the Sibilla repressive operation has been set for October 10th, at 10 a.m. at the Court of Perugia. On that date, the indictment will be requested for twelve comrades, including Alfredo Cospito (detained under 41 bis regime in the Bancali prison, Sassari). In all likelihood, Alfredo will be connected by videoconference.

Lyubov Lizunova, the 17 year old anarchist accused of terrorism for a graffiti, had her preventive measures tightened on April 11 from house arrest to pre-trial detention. This was announced in a letter sent to another accused in the case, the anarchist Alexander Snezhkov. “Lyuba was also arrested. She will finish tenth grade in a preventive detention center,” Snezhkov wrote from pre-trial detention in Chita, far Eastern Russia.

Tuesday 28th November the second instance judgement concerning “Operation Bialystok” was issued. The Public Prosecutor’s appeal request seemed poor from the motivational point of view, so much so that the Attorney General (representing the prosecution at this stage of the trial) asked at the end of the trial that the penalties imposed at the first degree trial be confirmed
