The voice of an anarchist who fled Ukraine to escape mobilization and war

From ANTIMILITARISTICKÁ INICIATIVA [ AMI ]

Mainstream media and even some “anarchist” or “radical left” media outlets bombard us with reports about soldiers on the front lines, but stubbornly refuse to listen to the voices of those who reject war and violent mobilization for war purposes. We take a different approach. We prefer to give space to the voices of those who fled the war rather than to hypocrites who describe the war as a liberation struggle.

Statement from Russian-speaking anarchists to Western anarchist initiatives: listen to the Ukrainian comrades!

This text is a collective statement of Russian-speaking anarchist collectives (see the list of signatories below). It should have been published even earlier, but now it’s really the time for a consolidated statement about the war in Ukraine. We do not claim to represent the stance of each and every anarchist from Russia, but the need for a clear position, and contradictions associated with the war in Ukraine lead to the necessity to act as a united movement.

From Act for Freedom Now!

June 24, 2025

But we want to clarify that we remain distant from pacifist vision to confront nationalist and fundamentalist wars. Anarchist antimilitarism has no reason to deny political violence. We share what some comrades who recently carried out an anti-militarist attack told us:

Iran: A detailed report on a war and millions fleeing

From Anarchist Front

When I wanted to write this report for you, I was embarrassed to write the title.
Escape was something I didn't want to mention here, but the truth is that we and I have escaped. Without having any connection to the Islamic Republic or Israel, we fled Tehran and are trying to survive under airstrikes.
