Homes Not Jails: An Anarchist Guide to Housing

From C4SS by Logan Marie Glitterbomb

As someone who has been homeless on multiple occasions, housing is an issue that I find to be extremely important. The typical view of how to help people achieve and maintain housing is one of homeless shelters, transitional housing, welfare programs, public housing, landlords, predatory bank loans, mortgages, evictions, and artificial scarcity. So how do we move away from this towards something that better meets our needs as a society made up of people who all need shelter?

Mauricio Morales Revolutionary Cells Attacked a Business

From Act for Freedom Now!, Chile

Claudio Crespo has been identified as the cop who shot and mutilated the eyes of a young person on November 8, 2019, when the October revolt was in full swing. A few days ago, the CIPER media released body camera footage of the chilean police [1], in which phrases can be heard like: “we’re going to shoot your eyes out”, “let the fucker burn” or “all these fuckers have to get killed“. In other audiovisual recordings he can be observed tearing out a lock of hair from a detainee’s head and sending a photo of it as a trophy to a Whatsapp group called “Scissors” where it seems it was common practice for these miserable police to send records of their “trophies”.

Back to books, back to ideas

From Anarchist Libraries Network

Back to the roots, back to material solidity. To real discussions, physical spaces of confrontation before connection. Faced with a reality that crumbles between our fingers, with a memory of what anarchist thought once was — now fading in the face of media doublethink and the sweet constraint of new communication channels — the only choice was to rethink the conflicting relationship between what this world imposes — digitization and the dematerialization of relationships — and what we carry in our hearts and refuse to abandon — the rejection of consensus and the love for unique, sensual encounters between individuals struggling against this existing order.

An Anarchist Defence Policy

From red and black notes by Tommy Lawson, April 18, 2025

The Australian Greens have recently announced their first military budget. This represented a shift in party policy with the upcoming election, attempting to be seen as a ‘serious player’ in Australian politics. As the Greens embrace political realism and continue to shift to the right, the socialist left in Australia must articulate a response that addresses the political questions this poses. That is, how to understand and relate to the military and the concept of national defence in capitalist states themselves.

Rethinking Emma Goldman as an Individualist, Eugenicist, and Nietzsche Apologist

From Notes Towards an International Libertarian Eco-Socialism by Javier Sethness

Emma Goldman (1869–1940) was a complex and protean figure. As described here in a celebratory post from 2013, Goldman was a champion of anarcha-feminism, anarcho-syndicalism, and prison abolition. She courageously opposed U.S. participation in the First World War and suffered deportation to the nascent Soviet Union in retaliation, and then went on to publicly critique the Bolshevik takeover of the Russian Revolution. Later, she would agitate and raise funds for the anarchist CNT-FAI during the Spanish Revolution. She was a supporter of queer and trans* liberation who served the public both as a nurse in New York’s Lower East Side and as longtime editor of Mother Earth.

We chop it up about growing up in the Caribbean under colonial hangovers, what solarpunk means beyond aesthetics, and how anti-capitalism rooted in joy, ecology, and community care can help build the futures we deserve.

An Anarchist In Honolulu: The Hawaiian Writings of Andrej Klemenčič

From The Transmetropolitan Review

Andrej Klemenčič was born on November 30, 1867 in the town of Spodnja Šiška, just north of Ljubljana, the historical capital of Slovenia. At the time of Andrej’s birth, Slovenia was under the rule of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and he grew up under their despotic reign until 1880 when he began to wander across the Earth. This unique journey not only made Andrej a committed anarchist, it eventually delivered him to the port of Honolulu on the Hawaiian island of Oahu.

Campaign: Help Buy a Printing Press for Anarchists in Sudan

From Black Rose Anarchist Federation

Since February 2022 Black Rose/Rosa Negra (BRRN) and other members of our international network of anarchist political organizations have been collaborating with the Sudan Anarchist Federation (SAF), which started organizing shortly before the revolutionary upheavals that began in 2018. Thanks to the many comrades who donated to our previous fundraiser, we were able to support some SAF comrades to escape dangerous situations and continue their work, both inside and outside the country. Tragically, at least one comrade, Sarah, was lost to the murderous and femicidal deprivations of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
