Zines as Means for Change

From Fifth Estate # 416, Spring 2025

a review of War of Dreams: A Field Guide to DIY Psy-Ops by Jason Rodgers. PM Press, 2024

At the height of the zine movement in the 1990s, thousands, perhaps tens of thousands—what could be thought of as armies of people—would march off to their post office boxes every day to engage in an ongoing assault on mainstream culture using low-circulation publications as their weapons of choice.

The ‘Finest library on Anarchy’ : Georges Pilotelle, and anarchist print culture

From Kate Sharpley Library

Anarchist libraries sometimes arise from a personal collection of books and papers, and sometimes such collections end up within an institution. In June 1903 reports appeared of the purchase of the ‘Finest library on Anarchy – Books, Pamphlets and Flaming Posters of the Most Violent Character Secured by Columbia.'

Against War, Against Power: An IFA Call to All Anarchists to Stand Against NATO

From Umanità Nova

The 2025 NATO Summit will be held at the World Forum in The Hague, Netherlands, from June 24 to 26. As the war machine gathers thousands of delegates from its 32 member states to orchestrate the next great wave of military expansion, we cannot remain silent. We must raise a banner of defiance and resistance. NATO does not exist to protect us. It serves the interests of states, corporations, and the few at the expense of the many.

In memory of Colette

From El Salto

Some vital notes from Buenaventura Durruti's partner, Émilienne Morin, on their daughter Colette on the occasion of the latter's recent death in France.

A few days ago, Colette, also known as Diana, whose married name was Marlot and née Durruti, died in France. The news of her death, the exact date of which is unknown, has reached only a small press and libertarian media because she was the daughter of Buenaventura Durruti.

Mayday 2025. Some Thoughts.

From Organise! Magazine by Peter Ó'Máille

The International Workers' Day is for most people in Britain, just another holiday given to us from the government. For some it means you can nurse your hangover for another day, for others it means an annoying obligation to take the kids to Rhyl for the weekend.

Brazil: International Anarchist Convergence of the Amazon, November 9 - 22

From Agência de Notícias Anarquistas

Dear comrades,

As a reminder, and for those who may be interested in joining us in our struggle, COP30 (the 2025 United Nations Climate Change Conference) is being organized in our city this year, and we will be happy to welcome all libertarian activists who want to participate in protest activities and denounce this most hypocritical of summits designed to protect us from the misfortunes created by the event’s own organizers.

Bugs Bunny as Revolutionary: A review of F. Rosemont’s book of essays

From Charlie Allison's Blog

I expected great things when I opened Surrealism, Bugs Bunny and the Blues, PM Press’s collection of the writings of anarchist, artist and surrealist Franklin Rosemont (1943-2009). I didn’t expect to laugh half as much as I did (this is the most fun I’ve had reading a book from PM Press since the marvelous Karl Marx: Private Eye by the redoubtable Jim Feast).
