Protest against Italian government attacks on anarchist archives

Dear comrades,
in the last few days, we issued a statement to respond to the recent attacks on the Historical Archive of the Italian Anarchist Federation, http://www.asfai.info/ and all anarchist archives, made by the Italian government. With this newsletter we intend to also reach out to our international contacts. In addition, we take the opportunity to address the grotesque theorems on alleged relations between the mafia and the anarchist movement.

London: Touchpaper Anarchist Library Now Open!

An anarchist library in South London…

Despite all appearances, London is not a seamless flow of merchandise, machines, and docile obedients.

It is a site of social conflict, waged by exploiters, managers – the benificiaries of a tightly monitored and supervised prison society – and the minority of the excluded – those among the raw material and the waste of the metropolis who refuse to resign themselves to that grim excuse for a life.

The Anarchist Library Fermento Closes Its Doors

From Act for Freedom Now!

After more than 10 years, at three different locations in Zurich, the anarchist library „Fermento“ with the archive and the distro part will be put into storage. Stored does not mean that it will no longer be accessible, but there will be temporarily no more opening times and we leave the current location at Zweierstr. 42 in Zurich by the end of October 2022.

Asia Art Tours: How did Southeast Asian Anarchist Library come together? And outside of your website, could you describe the resources available for anarchism in Southeast Asia?

Chatter and Identities

reading about anarchism is a crime

from Biblioteca Anarchica Disordine

One of the most important guarantors of these freedoms is to be found in public prosecutor Manuela Comodi of the Perugia prosecutor’s office, who in a brilliant police operation unleashed her watchdogs – the ROS carabinieri – to raid the homes of numerous anarchists in Italy, looking for anarchist publications no less! And think, she even managed to find them… To tell the truth it wasn’t that difficult; like looking for philosophy books in a philosopher’s home or paintbrushes in a decorator’s workshop…

End of the Acrata project

Make, support or read from an anarchist library today!

from acratabxl

The anarchist library Acrata opened its doors in 2008. At the time, a text presented it not only as a “space for meetings and discussions”, but also as an “instrument to sharpen our knowledge and to find solid bases to confront domination”. [...] Today, the library is closing its doors and it is not without a touch of nostalgia that we remember all the discussions, film presentations, exhibitions and other apéros or solidarity meals that took place there. At the moment of putting an end to the adventure that this space has been, we wanted to thank all those with whom we have been able to share these beautiful moments, as well as the sometimes more difficult moments.
