A new approach to individuals in permanent conflict with power and comrades in solidarity anywhere in the world.

More than 3 years of our imprisonment and more than 8 months of oral trial for the so-called ‘Bombs Case 2’.

The time spent in prison emphasizes at each moment the meaning of the life that we consciously choose since we feel the need to confront this reality of extermination and devastation with its relations of power and submission, in order to truly live, we unavoidably approach some kind of conclusion…

Concerning the juridical situation of our comrade Marcelo Villaroel Sepulveda… or How state’s revenge perpetuates itself in silence

From Tormentas de Fogo

Last September, at the 4th Military Prosecutor’s Office in Santiago, the refusal of the petition to prescribe the sentences made by our comrade Marcelo several months ago was notified.

Immediately, Marcelo appealed to this refusal, leaving the resolution of the appeal in the hands of the Martial Court, where it was reaffirmed in the first days of October.

These condemnations correspond to some causes originated by actions framed in his old militancy at the “Mapu-lautaro”, organization in which our comrade was an active fighter since a very young age and of which, while imprisoned, in 1995, he was expelled because of “anarchist deviations”.

08.10.17: A few days ago an operation against the peñis (Mapuche brothers) in the ngulumapu (West Wallmapu) was executed by the Chilean State prosecutors with the support of the bourgeois media who with their news cameras are positioned on the side of the powerful. This time, the Power attacked 7 Mapuche comrades who fight against the loss of their culture, for their stolen land and freedom. This operation was named “Operation Hurricane” by the police, in complicity with the media, guided by the bumbling National Intelligence Agency (ANI) and of course financed by the Chilean State.

From CrimethInc.

Forty-four years ago today, on September 11, 1973, a military dictatorship seized power in Chile via a CIA-sponsored coup. They murdered thousands of people without trial, tortured tens of thousands, and forced hundreds of thousands into exile in a series of atrocities that some Trump supporters openly fantasize about carrying out in the US. Today, the legacy of the dictatorship persists in the laws it passed and the cutthroat neoliberal policies it introduced, but also in the repressive policing apparatus that serves democracy the same way it served a dictator. And something else persists: a powerful resistance movement. In the latest installment of our series on student organizing, we interviewed an anarchist participant in the Chilean student movement, in hopes of offering a little perspective on what student struggles look like outside the US.
