Is it just me or is there a situation in North America that's similar and worth talking about?
"In the following account, anarchists in Belgrade describe a week of confrontations in the capital city, analyzing why it is important to prevent fascists from dominating clashes with the authorities..."
I read an article about COVID where an epidemiology person was talking about the difficulty of reaching herd immunity in the US because of a "generalized anti-science, anti-authority, anti-vaccine sentiment." My ears perked up. Anti-science and anti-authority you say? I've been thinking about this a lot in recent years. That there are social demographics that many of the anarchists around me don't want to go near -- and often mock or treat as social untouchables -- who are in conflict with various authoritarian institutions, and we're often allowing fascists or other enemies to dominate the terms of those conflicts.
Genuinely interested to hear whether other anarchists are thinking about this question.
