After months of managing to have a linear correspondence with the anarchist comrade Salvatore Vespertino, presently locked up in the prison of Spoleto and with application of censorship of mail, we have noticed progressive delays in correspondence getting in and out.
We don’t know whether some letters are disappearing informally or not as is happening with other comrades, for example in the case of Paolo Todde, prisoner in the prison of Uta (CA) who only receives registered post. From Salvatore’s last letter going back to 28/08 that reached us on 8/09 we learn that he has 18 letters formally blocked, as well as a number of packages of books that have been classified as parcels in spite of the P.L. postal settings.
Given the present situation we are making an appeal for a massive send-out of postcards in ordinary mail, given the low cost, to make a strong presence and closeness to the comrade felt, as well as clogging up the censorship office. We also suggest sending letters, preferably by registered mail. Given the informal arbitrary block on book packages we advise sending books singly in normal printed paper postal packets without any extra wrapping, as well as magazines and newspapers of any kind (the comrade would particularly appreciate historical magazines). Obviously all by registered post.
To write to the comrade:
